Regarding adoptables
artists-beware.livejournal.com…
I think this person's comment is a very interesting thing everyone should acknowledge before they start throwing ridiculous amounts of rl money for people's designs. I saw on TH threads from people asking if this or that part of some artist's TOS is legal and such and I think a lot of people simply doesn't realize that, quoting the person's comment "when you buy adoptables (...) you are doing business outside of any legal protection. "

It's spring cleaning time, baby! And as I dust this account off and all of my soc med accounts in general, I got struck by this idea that man, wouldn't it be fun to redraw some of my oldest works from here again, now as its 10+ years later........

"When you 'buy' an adoptable you buy nothing, nada, zip. They can sell that same character to a hundred people. You could take and use it for nothing.
The only 'protection' is morals of buyer and seller. That's a risky thing to trust in business where real money is concerned."
That part pretty much sums it all up.
