Apparently, when you get a DD you are not notified about it. If I wouldn't be vain and wouldn't click this picture to check how much views it got LOL (don't look at me like that, I know you do the same

PICTURE. once for a while to see if there isn't any hidden daily deviation there.And generally I don't feel so excited about it as I should I guess. I mean, looking at the level and number of daily deviations chosen everyday nowadays, I find it more as a matter of luck / good friends, suggesting your work, than a determinant of a good picture. Not saying that I really don't trust community volunteer's taste, professionalism and objectivity. And of course no one of us can be objective, we all have our own tastes, but there should be some universal standard's level and well, not all Daily Deviations nowadays reach this level.
BUT THAT'S ONLY MY OPINION, I'M JUST TOO HIPSTER TO BE SIMPLY HAPPY OF GETTING DD OKAY?

I got my first DD a month or so back. Out of no where. And I didn't even know myself until I read one of the comments that I got on it. I just saw all the faves and thought that I did something that people actually liked alot for once.
Like 5 or so hours before someone said it was worth a DD. I don't really believe them and said that it would never happen to me, and she was the one that ended up suggesting it, that got it featured, and that lead to the DD.
I didn't know you were suppose to write a journal about it.
